Why choose us

We built this practice around the communities that need it most.

flowing-translations started in Decatur in 2017 specifically to serve the language needs of the diverse communities in metro Atlanta. Georgia has one of the fastest-growing immigrant populations in the US, and the translation services available were not keeping pace with the demand for quality in healthcare, immigration, and social services settings.

We built a network of translators who have professional experience in the areas they translate. Our immigration translators have worked with legal aid organizations. Our medical translators have healthcare training. Our education translators have worked in school systems. This is not a coincidence. It is how we source every role in our network.

FAQ

Common questions

Yes. Every certified translation we produce complies with 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3): signed translator declaration, complete translator contact information, statement of competence and completeness, and certification date. We maintain an essentially zero rejection rate with USCIS, EOIR courts, and US consular offices. If your proceeding has additional formatting requirements, let us know before placing your order.
We work with over 50 language pairs, with particular depth in Spanish, Haitian Creole, Portuguese (Brazilian), Arabic, Somali, Burmese, Vietnamese, Korean, Amharic, and French. These reflect the language communities in the greater Atlanta and Georgia area. For less common languages, contact us before ordering so we can confirm translator availability.
All translators are bound by project-specific NDAs before receiving any files. Files are transferred only over encrypted connections and are not accessible to anyone outside the assigned translator, editor, and project coordinator. For medical records, we follow HIPAA-aligned protocols. Documents are deleted from our systems 90 days after project completion unless longer retention is requested.
Our 48-hour rush add-on covers most document types. For same-day requests, please call (404) 241-6019 before placing an order. We confirm whether same-day is feasible before you pay anything -- we do not accept orders we cannot meet.
A significant portion of our work is with nonprofits, county agencies, school districts, community health centers, and legal aid organizations. We understand the budget and compliance constraints in these settings. For ongoing volume work, we have a reduced-rate nonprofit program. Contact us to discuss.
We accept Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF (text-based and scanned), and plain text. We return files in the same format as received. For scanned PDFs we perform OCR and note any areas where scan quality may affect the translation.
